Tampa girl here. Go to Taylor Rental, on Busch Boulevard past Florida Avenue going Westbound, right before Chamberlain High School. They have lawn mower rental and a bunch of other stuff for cheap.

Also, Walmart has great mowers for pretty cheap, right around $100, if you need to buy.

I went to Lowe's and bought a nice Troy-bilt. It wasn't cheap, but it seems to stand up to the multiple mowings per week, the dense grass in the summer, and the wet grass.

I've also had alot of luck over the years with the Murray mowers that Walmart used to carry. Ran like a champ, and was easy to repair.
