Yes, and he came early this year, and gave me the best thing he could ever give.

You mean...he's NOT real? I think I stopped believing around the 4th grade. My Step-Dad didn't like it so he did something to make me believe again. It only lasted for the rest of that year, but it was great! I always begged to open my gifts early. The ones under the tree. So he told me if I was still awake at Midnight, I could open all of them. I got most of what I wanted, but a few things were missing. I woke up the next morning kind of bummed because I knew I wouldn't have anything waiting under the tree. To my surprise, there were about 8 more gifts. The chalkboard that I had wanted and Mom had to visit about 4 stores to find and some other little things I wanted. Mostly Barbie clothes and accessories. It was great and magical. After that, I wised up. Still, it made for a great memory because my step-dad passed away 5 years later.

up until about 7 years old, I grew up in manhattan and used to sneak up at 2 am and watch the sky for him from my 5th floor bedroom

Yeah, my parents put a lot of effort into it. Like I'd get letters from him when I was little on fancy paper and stuff.
