You can't really erace a CD. If it is a CD-RW, it can be recorded over, but you don't have to erase it first. If you are using a CD-R, it can only be recorded on once. CD's are so cheap, though, why not just use a new CD? If you need to erase something on the disc, smash the disc and throw it away.

If the cd is not a re-writeable cd, no luck at all. CD-RW it should say right there on it. Then, you need a cd burning software such as Nero to erase the re-writeable. Realplayer won't do it.

You can only erase CD-RW discs not CD-R so starting with one of the former helps.

If it's a cdrw, you don't need to "erase" Just proceed to burn your cd and it will ask you if you want to "write" over the current cd. choose yes :)
