Though Junior has but 556 career dingers, he's done it without cheating and has missed big chunks of atleast four different seasons. Also, I believe Bonds has about three years on Junior. And yes, I'm sure someone is going to tell me that it hasn't been proven that Bonds cheated, but I think we all know he has. Anyway, which of the two players is better, or atleast more legitimate?

I can only guess but I will say If jr. had been healthy throughout his entire career and Barroid was not on the cream or the butter or the mayo I think Griffeys numbers would be far greater!!!!!!!

Ken Griffey Jr. has always been a natural slugger. His swing is designed to hit bombs out of the park. Unfortunately his is extremely fragile and has missed big chunks at a time in every season for the last 4 or 5 years in a row. He was the best bet to brake the Babe and Hank's records, but now it seems very remote.
Barry IS a cheater.

Ken Griffey Jr is your everyday player and is very good. A lot better then Bonds.
Has more class too. Made the decision to play in Cincinnati so his family wouldn't have to move.
Earned my respect for just that reason

yes. ken griffey jr. in my oppinion is one of the greatest hr hitters of all time, because hes in the 500 club and he still has quite a few seasons left in him and he has had a nasty streak of injuries during the past 4 seasons. who knows how many he'd have if he had had 4 full seasons. if he had had 4 healthy seasons i bet he would have been able to break hank aarons hr record (or soon to be barry bonds, maybe). but i dont think he has enough time now unless he has a couple absolutely amazing seasons. so yes, i absolutely believe he is a much better hr hitter then barry bonds. unless of course he is found to have taken steroids then hes just another asshole like bonds.

Barry Bonds is a lot better than Jr. just look at all the numbers not just home runs.

Numbers don't lie, Barry is better, though you may argue about his legitimacy. KG Jr. has more raw talent and instead of pumping his body with testosterone, he sits on the bench favoring his ailments and collecting his check. I honestly think Barry was a better player when he was a small chump. Now he is merely a slugger and a pin cushion. KG Jr. is a better all-around player, hands down.

Yes Jr is the better hitter and could easily dominate any contest.
However, he has a nasty habit of being on the disabled list. If he can ever stay on the list for a reasonable amount of time, then I'm sure he could be a hitting god.

SF have been given rid of Barry basically with the aid of fact of what they probable knew might ensue with the aid of study of mendacity to the grand jury. it could be a huge distraction having MLB and the U. S. government. interview his teammates and very nearly all and sundry interior the Giants company. If Barry's modern-day issues have been approximately being accused of using steroids or HGH, then he might nonetheless be on the group and payroll, yet his modern-day legal issues are plenty extra intense than that. there is an threat that Barry ought to play throughout the 08 season, besides the undeniable fact that it is nonetheless too early to tell. i might say probable nearer to spring education and we would locate out if a collection needs to take a huge gamble.

I think they are both overall great players and two of the best power hitters of all time, however, I do think that there are slim to no people who think Griffey has cheated and that has to give him the edge. I also loved watching him play center field in his prime.

Isn't one of the telltale signs of steroid abuse that players start getting tendon / ligament injuries and muscle tears? Like when Bonds tire his arm apart a few years back? Why, then, is Griffey never accused of steroids? I don't think he's guilty of them, but I just don't understand why he's never even suspected..
