I guess people are assuming that I mean something other than what I'm asking. A certain percent of the population (united states) die alone in there dwellings, and are only detected when neighbos smell the rotting corpse. These people have to family/friends, and when they expire, nobody notices. What I am tryin to find out is how many people per yer does this happen to?

no. However, I've known two people who passed away and were married with children. One man had been married for over thirty years (cancer); and the other, a woman, died at 83 (she's been married since 19). Both people did not have happy or healthy marriages. The woman's husband was an alcoholic and abused her until he died at 64 from prostate cancer, She claimed, on several occasions, that she was the happiest after he died.

I'm certainly not a psychologist - and I don't mean to read into your question - but if you are concerned about dying alone & childless, don't be. Really.

I've never been married or had any children but I'm not going to die alone because I have the living Spirit of God in my heart and I will be with God forever and ever, amen! :o)

Mj said it!! Wife and kids just take money and time away from you. Assuming you can stay married long enough (most martriages end in divorce anyways).

Dont sweat it and have fun!

A person doesn't have to be alone just because he/she never married or had children.
