Depends a lot on the dancer, really. None are exactly "easy", but I'd have to say out of those choices it would be hip-hop. Again, not to say that it's easy, but hip-hop is really about "letting go". It's a much looser style of dance. Tap is loose, as well, but has very precise technique and sounds, patterns, etc. Jazz and ballet both require a lot of training, strength, practice, technique, etc. The majority of hip-hop dancers are self-training, while you really never run into a self-trained ballet dancer.
Of course, it's hard to say definitively, especially since it's all oppinion based.

none are easy. If you're the clubbing type and love to dance and have some rhythm, hip hop might be easier. If you are more of a classical girl and watch a lot of ballets, then ballet will be easier for you. It depends on what you have more of an association with. As a beginner, I recommend doing ballet because some say it's the basis of all dance. I just heard that somewhere don't quote me on it! =) But it makes sense because once you're more classically tuned, and learned those skills, you can go on to the more funky stuff that break all those classical rules. Go for a style not because it's easy, but because it will benefit you from learning all the other styles.
just my 2 cents. =)

Jazz. The moves are easier to identify and imitate. Hip-hop is not really in the same category as the others you offer, even though it's a lot of fun. If you can jazz dance, hip-hop will be no problem.

I'd say, for a young person, jazz or hip hop. these are styles of dance you've been seeing around. You are more comfortable with the language of these styles.
Each style has its own set of movements. If you haven't been surrounded by them, they will seem foreign for you.
Actually the easiest is the one you are the most motivated to learn - you'll put in the effort necessary...

Hip Hop, it gets you used to moving your body and having control over it, I wouldn't reccomend ballet to beginner dancers unless your four years old, it may be a little much, even beginner ballet classes. Tap seems easy, but there are a lot of beats you have to get right and can be complicated.

None are incredibly easy. They are each easy & difficult in their own way. You may want to start out with ballet. Ballet teaches you basics that you will use in things such as Jazz, modern, lyrical & so on. It helps with legs, arms, leaps, turns, etc. But any dance you choose is good. It all depends on what you like to do. Check & your studio & see if they have Combo classes. They are classes that have a viriety in them so you learn & get something of each. If not, most likely you can do a try out/sit in class. Where you go & participate for a class & see if you like it. Try that. Then you get a taste for each. But I would still suggest Ballet for atleast a year because usually most styles of dance will require some ballet training. Just my input.

Jazz is deffinitly the easiest. There aren't really any difficult steps together. It is all just putting the moves together and showing your personality through the dance, which you have to do in the other types too.
hip hop can be kind of difficult because it goes so fast.
tap has alot of difficult steps. it is still pretty easy, but jazz is much easier.
Ballet can be very difficult because you have to be smooth and elegant. It is hard to keep your movements soft. You have to have good balance and be able to jump high without landing loudly. There is alot of stretching to do too.

I can only speak for jazz and hip-hop. I found that hip-hop for me was the easier to learn. It looked more "fluid" and the teacher did a great job of turning the steps into funny sounding moves. Such as "scrape the bowl". There were many beginners in my class who were twice my age and they were doing it so anyone can do it.

I think that hip hop would be the easiest evn though in my opinion none of them is easy. I'm a folk dancer and I took ballet, different folk classes and clogging and each one of them was hard in its own way. I loved them all though. It's all up to you. Try them and you'll decide which one fits you the best. I don't think it's about how easy they are but how much you enjoy them. If you love the style you'll do and feel great even if it's hard; or maybe because it is hard! :)

while the arm movements can be a little tricky sometimes, hip hop is the easiest because it does not require the technique that the other forms do. The technique takes years to develop correctly in other forms of dance.
