WWE only predetermines the outcome of matches because they want viewers to follow a good storyline, so if the hero should win, then he wins. The diva search, on the other hand, isn't that important for the WWE. They have all these women signed up anyway, so if they aren't interested in the winner, they may bring someone else on.

I think it's all a setup, because most of the contestants have already been in Playboy or already modeled. Christy and Ashley (2004 and 2005 winners) had already modeled before they won the diva search.

Far as I can figure it...it is completely legitimate so as to get the idea of what the fans want....hot blonde, athletic, et al.....
What they do though is keep track of how popular each one is and hire more than one...winning means a one year contract, but if you come in second, it could be even better for you ....christy is gone(winner) because there were no good stories for her....but a second place(wasn't Candace second or third?) can get hired and even renewed.....

Most contest reality shows put something in the contestant contracts that allows the producers to edit the results. Even American Idol has something in their contestant contracts which says that votes will be CONSIDERED but the final decision is in the hands of the show's producers. So yes... it could in fact be rigged...

thats possible, but what diff, duz it make? the divas' characters are not as defined as the males'(except maybe mickie james), so they could probably give the storyline to whichever diva won. suffice to say, i think the votes count.

Yes. Everything is pre-arranged, prerecorded, prestaged and prepaid for by Vince. They just do the house shows. The pay-Per-Views where done a long time ago.
