TRUE.
You and the "enemy of your enemy" have a common purpose - hatred of your enemy. In this instance, alliances are often formed.

False.
The only way that this is true is if the enemy of my enemy was already my friend.
As it has been pointed out earlier, The Russian Army was an ally in WWII against Germany but not our friend. Russia had their own interests at stake when they fought Germany.
If we look back to the history of Iran and Iraq. We (the USA) were backing Iraq against Iran. How good a friend has Iraq become?
I would say that the enemy of my enemy may be a friend, may be an ally, may be an ally of convenience, or may still be an enemy.

I think it takes a lot more than that to qualify as a friend. Not to mention that just because someone is your personal enemy doesn't mean his reasons for considering this other person an enemy are not good reasons.

Not necessarily true.
The enemy of your enemy may be worse than your enemy, or not.
You should look at it as a person you can compromise with, if the ends justify the means. Just as the Soviet Union 'compromised' with the Allies in WWII to defeat Hitler.
Sometimes it can be justified, sometimes not.

Not necessarily true, but could be. If China was against N. Korea & we are against N. Korea it doesn't necessarily make China and U.S. friends but enemies with a common cause.

Well, it IS a generalization. I thing it would be better interpreted as "The enemy of my enemy is my ally." Allies don't necessarily have to be friends.
