Any colored stain will work. Concrete is very porous, so the stain will "bleed", making it difficult to keep a straight line. If you just want them all one color, go for it. If they're to be multicolored, there are paints designed specifically for concrete that will not bleed as much as stain.

Unfortunately there's probably not much you can do besides lighten it up a bit unless you cover it over with new concrete (or patio furniture). Concrete is very porous and and can soak up liquid like a sponge and could have pulled the coffee a bit deeper than just a surface stain. If you're very lucky and picked the coffee up immediately...a pressure washer just might get rid of it. I think it's more likely though that it will just lighten it up and honestly I would try to be satisfied with that. Brick acid, concrete bleachers, etchers and the like can damage and weaken the concrete and usually don't get rid of the whole stain anyway.

I bought some spray paint for concrete outside things. I think the name was Kylon. It's a national brand. I got it at Walmart or Meijer.
I did a concrete bird bath and it turned out really well. It looks like a glaze. You can get it in a lot of colors.

I don't know about staining it, but if you would like something different try coating them in buttermilk, find some moss, apply it on top of the buttermilk (doesn't have to be much), and put it in a dark place (like under your house), for a month and you will have a moss covered lawn ornament!

I agree with szydkids, still you can paint them with some paint and when this is dry rub a contrasting color and wipe it off---this will give your ornaments a rustic look.

I have used wax shoe polish on smaller pieces with good effects. Just rub it on. and you can also buff it with a brush to show a shiny effect.
