If you want to do it as a hobby and not as profession:

Find local place to model like self owned stores and other things...in my city they do that .... and they have fashion shows and TV/print ads for teens in the area...but just to let you know they don't pay lol well not I'm my city lol

Or

Try to find a modeling school and agency...but that cost money so if you just want to do modeling for a hobby then try finding places locally that need models

But whatever you end up doing Good Luck and Have Fun!

The most practical application for modeling is convention work, in my opinion.

Think about it. If someone takes your picture, they need you for one afternoon, and the they reproduce thousands of images. You work one day. They use your images for years. That creates far less demand than you want for actual work.

Conventions are different. People need to relate to you directly, so you work every day (if you are into it).

There are surf shows, car shows, boutique shows, etc.etc.etc. Anywhere a fresh clean face is needed and maybe a model for surfwear.

The contact below is a good outfit. They have more demand for women because, alas, there are more male buyers at conventions. But they do use men.

When I hired their models, they were $175/day. I think that price has gone up, but I think the model made $100/day.

The cool thing about convention work is that you get exposure to different kinds of work. Sales work. Sure you look good now, but wouldn't be good to get a sales job for something you found out about at a trade show by actually working with the people?

Anyway, here's the link. Good luck!

PS Tell judy that you not only have glossies (you're responsibility) but that you have good manners, like selling, and have an education.

you cant do modeling just as a hobby. trust me, I work in the modeling industry, and if you want to model, you have to really want it and give it all you've got. You also have to be very tall and very, very, handsome. not just a sortof handsome. it will be alot harder if you live outside of NYC (or the other big fashionable cities), but if you want to be a model, you should either try it as your main profession, or not do it at all.

I'm not sure if you live near any major city, but i would call up or send pictures to your nearest modeling agency. Usually all agencies have a teen division.

I guess you find a Model agency fist and apply for it. But if you look those Abercrombie & Fitch models then you'll find a job right away! LOL
