My insurance paid for Clomid. It has some pretty awful side effects. My genitals split as if someone took a razor to them. It also made me CRAZY. Do some research before taking. I know how hard it is to want a baby and be unable to make one. It took 13 years for me to get my perfect baby girl now 20. Call a pharmacy and ask the price. Best of luck!!!

Call your insurance company and ask for a drug formulary.. It is a list of all the medications that your plan will cover..And while your on the phone with them they will tell you how much the Clomid will cost for you..
If it is not covered, Call a few local pharmacies to get the "cash" price.. Different pharmacies have different pricing schedules, so one pharmacy may be more expensive than the other, Either way, if it is covered by your insurance, then you will only be charged what your insurance copay is..
Walgreens is the best in my opinion..If you don't have one there try CVS next

Clomid is a fertility agent used to stimulate ovulation in women who want to become pregnant.
I'm not to sure if insurance would cover it or not, but you can call your insurance company and find out. If you have to pay for it on your own, it's pretty expensive. You would need 15 pills to have a 3 month supply and it will run you about $160.00
Then again, you can get the generic kind (CLOMIPHENE) which is JUST AS GOOD, and get 30 pills for a 6 month supply for $70.00

Clomid usually runs around 50-70 dollars. many insurance companies do cover it and many do not. It doesn't matter where you live, but what kind of insurance and the type of plan you have. You need to contact your health insurance provider and they can look it up for you.

$56.00 for 10 pills. they are 50mg each. my insurance plan has a fertility rider... it covers part of our invitro fertilization, all of our testing, and all of the perscriptions with a $5.00 co-pay. my wife takes clomid pills and pregnyl 10,000 units (one injection). when she gets pregnant she will have to take progesterone shots until 12 weeks pregnant. there's a LOT to the infertility treatments! i'm glad i have insurance with this special rider!

i am adding side effect info... that first person that answered is NUTS. the side effects are mild weight gain, mood swings, and cysts. clomid can cause cysts!

I have been on it for three months. I'm not sure if my insurance pays for part of it. But it has been $33.00 for 5 pills per month. If I don't get pregnant this month my doc. is uping my dose so the price for one month will double to $66.00.

A friend of mine in NC is taking the generic version of it and she said it cost her around $7.00 for it. Now sure the name of it though. But I am sure you can ask your Dr. about it.
