I need a brief summary of these two books and the summary isn't homework for school, but I don't want you to copy and paste it off of a website.

1) Will you give me a summary for Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseini?

2) Will you give me a summary for Guns, Germs, and Steel by Jared Diamond?

Oooooookay.

1) _The Kite Runner_
This is about a well-to-do Afgani guy who moved to the US, his relationship with a friend in Kabul, and how his betrayal of said friend affected him. It's got emotion and adventure and plenty of condemnation of the Taliban. Good book.

2) _Guns, Germs, and Steel_
This is an explanation of how and why cultures and people are different throughout the world. This has been a remarkably difficult question for some people to answer, because it inevitably results in racism and ignorance. Why did Western European culture become dominant in the world? This book explains it WITHOUT saying, "Well, white people are just better." It is very clear, easy to understand, and enjoyable. It's also thoroughly brilliant. Every human being capable of doing so should read this book. The world will make more sense if you do.

The Kite Runner is about a wealthy Sunni boy named Amir and his servant/friend Hazzan. Amir betrays Hazzan by allowing him to be assaulted and walking away. Amir never forgives himself. When the Taliban takes over Afghanistan, Amir and his father flee to America. Years later Amir receives a latter from an old family friend and has a chance to go back to Afghanistan. The story gets a little "contrived" at this point, as fate falls right into place to give Amir a chance to find closure to all aspects of his life in Afghanistan and make up his horrible behavior to Hazzan. It slid into place almost too easily, but I like the story. I like it a lot.

Sorry I never read the other one.
