I would too. My therapist suggested that I join a class to find others who are interested in the same things as me. I haven't done that. It seems kinda creepy to me.
Just be friendly to everyone you meet and you are bound to run into someone who likes you and wants to be your freind.

Well, the best way to meet new people is to just jump right in and jam it.
Do you have a job? Go to lunch with some coworkers.
You will make friends there.
Are you religious? Attend church and church groups. You will make friends there.
How about volunteer organizations? Join one that interests you.
You will make friends there.
What is your hobby? Find a club that involves that hobby. You will make friends there.
What sport do you like to play? Join a team.
You will make friends there.
What have you always wanted to learn? Take a class.
You will make friends there.
And there is so much more!
You have plenty of options and opportunities, you just need to embrace them!
Broaden your interests, educate yourself...have fun! Take care!

go to the park and join in with the people playing frisbee or soccer :-).
Volunteer your time somewhere where you know there are people.
Pick up the phone and call someone you *kind of* know and go have lunch with them.
