what does it mean? and why does it seem like people look down upon people who arent spontaneous? is not being it a bad thing?

being spontaneous means that you'll get a new idea and go with it, not sticking to the same routine and thinking of new ways to have fun. Some people think being spontaneous is a plus because you can always find something to do..Not being spontaneous isn't necessarily a bad thing, its just good to be every now and then..

Spontaneous means:
Self generated; happening without any apparent external cause.
Done by one's own free choice, or without planning.
proceeding from natural feeling or native tendency without external constraint
arising from a momentary impulse.
Being spontaneous is one thing I really love because I never know what is going to happen form one moment to the next. In life using spontaneous thinking will most likely get you laid or anything that goes with that. Everyone has something in them that is just waiting to get out and that is spontaneity. Doing something without being told or asking, just do it! For instance, the husband gets out of the shower. Standing there dripping wet and his wife starts giving him a ******* and he least expects it, that is spontaneity.
I know that everyone has a spontaneous side and for those that don't use it, I am hoping that it will change. When you are in a relationship the thing that made you attracted to that person was something about them and when you go on a date with them you spontaneously kiss each other!
Not being spontaneous isn't a bad thing but just try letting go or your everyday life and see what happens when you add some spontaneous thinking to it.

As Candy said, doing something unexpected and possibly off the cuff. There is nothing to stop a spontaneous action from being thought out to some extent, but basically you get in and find out how it is going to go. If you are not spontaneous, then people can predict how you will react to a situation. There will always be someone who thinks they know better how you should react but don't let them phase you. Do what you think is best for the situation. Spontaneity in a relationship is good but you also need to be somewhat predictable.

Being spontaneous means doing stuff on the spot and not thinking things through. I'd say it was a good thing most of the time.

Not a bad thing at all. Some people like to plan;you need people like that because spontaneous people need to be reminded of things.

It means to be random. To do things out of the blue, without plans, being adventurous. A lot of people like that quality in a person.
