ferrari is far better than porsche

The stupidity in these answers astounds me.

First off, they have different purposes and drive completely differently. Porsches are to be real world supercars, while ferraris are typically into the exotica category. Ferraris arent so hot as daily drivers (not to say something like a CGT, GT3 or GT3 RS is...)

THe people saying the ferraris accelerate faster are just foolish. The new turbo hit as low as 3.3 in a few tests thanks to the AWD. Not to mention both companies have such a range of models its hard to generalize for them (430/612-> enzo is a huge gap, although smaller than boxster->CGT)

the person that said the cayenne is a joke clearly hasnt been in one. theyre faster than M3s around tracks. Yes i said M3. Hardly a joke for a 5000 pound offroad capable vehicle.

The person saying ferrari has no association with fiat was probably the stupidest though. Ferrari is OWNED by fiat, moron.

and porsches racing history is far more enriched than even ferraris, winning everything from the original Formula races set up by hitler in the 20s (Auto union, but it was run by ferdinand porsche) to paris dakar with the 959, not to mention lemans domination and They even ruined Can Am by making a car so fast they essentially had to tear down and start the series all over (917/30).

For practicallities sake: porsches are far better cars for far less money.
For small penis's sake: Get a ferrari.

The Porsche was designed to have great brakes to stop it from high speeds. The Ferrari motor was designed to be run flat out for 24 straight hours. The Porsche has a suspension unlike any other car out on the road or on the track, save for the volkswagon beetle. The Ferrari has the body everyone wants to fcuk. What makes a car the best car in your eyes? Handling? Porsche. Performance? Both. Flat out balls out sustained top speeds screaming at redline without blowing up? Ferrari. All around best of both worlds? The BMW M3 E30.

Now this question is truly contravercal. A porsche is in the ferrari class, but costs alot less and has better gas consumption, and is alot realible its more realible then a volvo. while a ferrari is faster but costs ALOT more and HAS HORRIBLE gas consuption and is know as the car that cost a dollar a mile because it cost so much to maitane. but a ferrari has more quality that a porsche but porsche as have great quality. but for the money a porsche is the best. but if you are looking for a car to impress your friends than any one will do.

But also a porsche has had a better racing history like the 24 hour European La Mans race which porsche has had the high wins and is way above the score than any of the other like ferrari had 9 , bmw has 1, and then theres porsche which has a whapping 16 yes 16 wins.

Porsche..

My boss owns 7 Ferrari's and 1 Lambo. Out of all 8 of those Italian cars, 2 of them are running. They are constantly breaking down. German cars are much higher quality. Yes the Ferrari's may go a tad faster, at least you'll get a lot further in a Porsche, and have just as much fun.

Best? For what?

If you want to accellerate like a bat out of hell (faster than a Ferrari or a Porsche) and have a hoot driving it, check out the Ariel Atom.

If you want a great every day reliable driving sports car, the Porsche. If you want to have the feel of a car that feels like a car should feel, one that fits like a glove. A Porsche.

If you have even more money than brains compared to a Porsche driver, you drive a Ferrari.

Porsche is by far the best! The least expensive to own and operate! Where as the Ferrari's are "Fix It Again Tony!" Although not associated with FIAT, however, they come from the same country...
