Freemasons have been around for century's. Symbols of the ancient Masonic craft can be found throughout the world. Today each Grand Lodge has their own respective symbol that is recognized.

The history of the United States is highly involved with the most recent evolution of Masonry started in the 1700's.

Since symbolism is a major element of the craft it follows that heraldry would be significant too.

Heraldry?that would be under family trees.
What you more likely mean is symbolism.Yes?
The lodges use symbolism.for all types of building trades. As this is where the first lodge started in the building of things.
my fathers father was a 32nd degree mason.
They trace there beginnings to Egypt and Pyramid building and use the symbols of the tools of there craft.uses a lot of mathematical equations in explaining the universe.
They have their own schools to teach the deeper meanings of the building trade as it applies to the universe and man.
any decent library or book store will have books on Freemasonry in the religion section or in some the new age section.
