"Ca RIB bee an". that's how i say it. i've always said it that way. i've looked it up many times, and every dictionary shows different pronounciation, but i think "Care a BEE an" is the british english pronounciation. in general, the american english pronounciation is easier than the british english. isnt it? and it's easier to say Ca RIB bee an tha Care a BEE an.
there's a native american tribe that lived in the caribbean islands, and they're pronounced "CARE-bs". Caribs. not "ca-RIBs".
but anyway, i say Ca RIB bee an.
