Is it just me or does that slogan "Made In America" seem to pop this thougt into your head. "Put together in the cheapest quality we can so we can double dip into peoples pockets by having things constantly needing repair or to be replaced"

I myself I by what works and by reputation of being reliable. For example I buy clothing made in America, but my electronics and vechicle are not. I buy food made in America. My furniture is made in America.

I say buy the better product no matter where it is made.

I buy the best quality that I can get for my money and I don't care where it's made.

Actually foreign competition is good to keep prices at bay. What happens when domestic industries have no competition can be seen with health insurance, housing or cable tv, for example. Prices keep going up and the quality / services go down.

You should buy charcoal briquettes. made from compressed New Orleans ghetto rubble. Then when you barbecue some ribs you can be adding New cO2 to the atmosphere. Helping to save the fossil fuel.

America doesn't make that many things because it is cheaper and easier for American countries to create products in China where labor laws aren't that strict.

I like American but products... you can't trust that Taiwanese but cream... that's all I'm saying...

hahaha... but seriously... it's getting tricky... like many Fords and Chevys are made in Mexico now... while many Toyotas and BMWs are made in America?

It's not the good old days anymore...

One of the largest companies in the world, Wal-Mart, dropped their "Buy American" program completely.

Considering Wal-Mart is mainstream America, no, we should not purchase American made products.

That's not necessarily my opinion, though.

I'm looking around the office here and I can't seem to find anything American made......hmmm......even my bottled water was made elsewhere.....Altoids.???...nope...Great Britain.

wouldn't it be "made in usa"? because America actually refers to two continents and the connecting bit in between.
