Wow! A couple of other Poncho guys!

Not in the same league as the earlier T/A's, but I had a '78 gold Special Edition WS/6 Trans Am. It was pretty stout for a smog motor car.

I opened up the shaker, removed the cat, and later put headers and free flowing exhaust system on it. Put an advance curve ign kit in the distributor and a set of 3:73 gears in it. Man, what a hoot that car was.

The engine kicked a rod out the side of the block (a long story involving my girlfriend at the time, her mother and her mothers boyfriend...*lol*) and I stored it for several years.

Later on I built and installed a .60 over 455 and a TH400. At that point I was headed down the path of a full time bracket car. The birth of my son and the responsibilities of starting a family was the end of that deal and the car was sold.

I wish now I had stored it again... ;)

More a ponycar, I have a '67 Mustang GTA. It's fun, I found myself getting more into the hot rod/custom world, it's always something different. With the mustang you've seen one you've seen them all. But it's still a great car.
