For me, life is like an ocean: full of possibilities and promises, but unforseeable, and filled with ups and downs.

Life is like....really sucky because people like my Mother who worked for 45 years at the same company, then retired, can't even afford to buy her diabetes medication she needs to save her life.

Meanwhile, over-paid morons like Jim Carrey and Oprah Winfrey
get paid millions and millions of dollars every year, even though they're already rich beyond belief and do nothing to help people who actually need the money. Their biggest problem in life is which color Rolls Royce to buy next.

Same with athletes. There's no logical reason that some idiot running up and down a field with a football should be paid 10 million dollars a year while the rest of us who actually *work* for a living have to scrape by.

That's why life sucks. The rich get richer and the poor stay that way forever.

A board game. Rolling the dice to know how many spaces to go ( You can choose the places you see with something as simple as a handshake). Seeing which way to go from a fork in the road (which path to choose when confronted with something). Your opponents are your enemies (dealing with people that are there to hurt you.) Pulling a lucky card (whats life without a bit of luck?) Rules of the game to follow (You're always going to be around rules in your life, choosing them to follow is your choice. You can cheat in life the way you can in a game.) only one person wins... the difference with the game and life. sometimes the loser takes all, the little man in the beginning comes up on top, if you had a good game (lead a good life) then there's nothing left to worry about as long as you keep at what youre doing.

Life is like a snowball rolling down a hill: at the beginning it is very small, weak, not knowing exactly how to roll... Then it gets stronger, confident, rolling faster and thinking that faster is good, not knowing that faster means getting closer to the end sooner than it thinks. Then it is big, but too heavy and almost too weak to support its own weight. It would like to stop, but it can't. It reaches the valley where it remains until the sun of a new spring melts it away.
That is life. That is my life, anyway. I am still rolling very fast.

I like the Roller coaster one. I'll expand. Full of ups and downs. potential for exitement or nausia around every bend. However we only usually experience the ride and pay little attention to the things outside the car that hold the whole ride together. And it's when we lose faith in the one who designed the ride or built it, that's when we want to get off or not even get on the ride to begin with.

Life is like a box of smelling salts. Once you wake up and smell the coffee, you are jolted back to reality and find that you left the smelling salts out by mistake where your kids got a hold of it and spilled it all on your head while you were dreaming that life was beautiful.

Life is like: (lyrics quote from an oldie but goodie)
And, they're coming to take me away, Ha, Ha
They're coming to take me away.
To the funny farm
Where life is beautiful All the time
And I'll be happy to see
Those nice young men
In their nice clean suits
And they're coming to take me away, Ha Haaaaaa!

... a roller-coaster ride. There are many dips & high points. Some provide a thrilling ride, some scary and almost heart-stopping and others a little bumpy. All in all you come out a little shaken or rattled but you get right back in the seat again.

A circle. The natural life span takes us back to our beginnings. We find that all experience is interconnected--creating who we are and what will become of us in the future.

For Life's a complete circle. And whatever blessedly good or unforgivably sinful that you do in the tenure of your destined life; comes back to you sometime or the other in the same equivalent form and in this very lifetime of yours; without caring the slightest; thinking about; or waiting for the tiniest of heaven or ribald hell to unfurl. ~Nikhil Parekh

A bowl of cheeries, that is the best way to put it. Every morning you wake up. Will you wake up is in question, will the sun shine, will the moon rise. We as people take these things for granted because for some reason you think these will always happen.
