I am usually pretty normal, 28 day cycle. Had a regular period in June, usually lasts about 5 days. So far, all is fine. In July, it started but I noticed it was a lot shorter, about 2 days and somewhat lighter than the norm. After that time, I have been having nausea (not too great though), headaches (sometimes really bad), fatigue, lightheadedness, etc. So then yesterday, I noticed very little, just a drop or two of brownish discharge and then another drop today. Some say that they have this right before their perios, well my thing is this, I have never had this right before my period and my "norm" period shouldn't be until around the 10 or so of Aug.

Also, I am on a low dose borth control pill. I must say though I sometimes forget to take a dose so I do know the notion of pregnancy is there. If I were, it is okay. I am in a committed relationship so he/she would be welcomed.
What kind of discharge does this sound like and does it sound normal? Have had some light cramping too.

The brown discharge that you are describing is old blood. I often get this before I get my period. If you only had your period for 2 days last month I would take a pregnancy test because the 2 days you did have a period it may have been implantation bleeding. Implantation bleeding is caused by the egg attaching itself to the uterine wall. I currently pregnant, and when I went to the doctors I found out that I was a month further along than I thought because what I had considered a really light period was actually implantation bleeding. Best of luck sweetie!

I found out I was pregnant when I was just over four weeks, I woke up just absolutely knowing I was pregnant. Actually my first two HPT's were negative because I tested too early. When I went to the doctor the following week (I finally got a positive HPT, 3 days after the first ones) he told me that the low dose birth control doesn't work if you're 170+ lbs. Also that if (like you said) you miss one and take it the next day, you have less of a chance of it being effective.
As for your discharge, I didn't get anything like that, but its not unheard of. I know that in some of the reading I've done, they talk about a discharge being normal all pregnancy long. The one big symptom I noticed was my breasts were (and still are) way swollen and sore.

Ohhh man. The first thing that came to me was that....its possible you are pregnant. Those symptoms tell it. I learned that a woman would drop a drop or two (aka spotting) when pregnant. Birth Control doesn't always work. It's all in God's time. My husband's mother gave birth to his brother even when she was on the pill too. =) My normal cycles, before my husband, were 28 day ones. And they've changed going up to 42 days. So those symptoms you speak of sound verrryyyyy..peculiar. Even the discharge. I say go to a doctor and get tested. Cuz if you are pregnant, you should start taking care of yourself. =) And congrats if you are! =) I'm still waiting for mine.

The brownish discharge does happen at the end of periods too. It seems to depend on what you ate & ow much stress you had during your cycle. One friend said that it turns brown because you were horney duing your cycle & didn't get any, but I don't believe that one! If you are concerned about being prenant, then take a ome test to check. But I think it is probably nothing to worry about.

It could be a few things. It could be pregnancy or it can be your birth control or if you are under a lot of stress, that can contribute to those symptoms as well. I had those kinds of symptoms too and I found out that it was just from a GREAT deal of stress and I have talked to other women who had those symptoms and they found out that they were pregnant. Yes, light cramping is normal for pregnancy.

Go get a pregnancy test. Some spotting can be normal at the beginning of pregnancy. If you are really stressed it can change your period. Good luck.
