to some, they say that political correctness has gone to far, i agree with them...

Many activists of different groups have pushed for certain names or sayings to be modified, despite the ridiculousness of their extent. These include:

The children's nursery rhyme 'Baa Baa Black Sheep' should be changed to 'Baa Baa Rainbow Sheep' to not upset indigenous groups.
The characters Dick, Fanny and Bessie in Enid Blyton's story books to be changed to Rick, Franny and Bettie respectively, because of the sexual connotations Fanny and Dick, and Bessie because it was a common name for slaves and the character Bessie at one time had dark skin.
In Australia's Sea World, Fairy Penguins have been renamed to 'Little Penguins', so they do not carry connotations of or offend homosexual people.

In my opinion, Political correctness is required and everybody should use it in their conversation with strangers. Political correctness helps one make a point firmly and without the risk of offending the audience. The other reason, that I see is, a person who is politically correct is seen as sensitive, an important ingredient in building relationships.

Yes and all politeness cease. Yes! This is my utopia.
It sucks when u r around someone and u know they are a bigot asshole and they still try and be nice...If you have hate in your heart let me know please. I have more respect for people who are honest and direct. P.C. is for those who can't handle the truth.
