is anyone out there using photomax for their photos?

Would you recommend it to your friends and family? Explain in detail what you like most about Photomax.

Nope. Too expensive for what they offer.
There are other photo sites available just as good, and anybody with a bit of time and an image editor or movie maker (and many are free) can create movie DVD's and other image items.
All of the services offered can be gotten much cheaper elsewhere. If money isn't an issue, and for pure convenience, then maybe ... but I don't personally know anyone who lives on that level.
