You, I and all others on Y.A. today will not live to see that.
We've only taken humans out of Earth orbit a few times to date (Apollo moon landings), and the logistics of staging a manned expedition to Mars is beyond our present technology. It will be quite some time before people take holidays in even relatively near space, like the Moon and even longer to travel as far as Mars and beyond.

The technology is arriving. In all likelihood, it will occur before we end up destroying ourselves.

Throughout history, wars have been waged; with modern transportation and technology, we see the spread of what is called terrorism. As more countries join the nuclear club, the question becomes will we ever learn to live together before we destroy ourselves. Also, with ever-expanding populations, we could see widespread famine (and the possibility of wars erupting over precious resources such as farmland, water, etc.).

In any case, I suspect we will see some tourists in space. If that becomes travel to anywhere beyond the moon will probably be determined by whether we survive as a species.

Kind regards,
Jim

I believe that people will set foot on Mars, maybe other planets or moons within my lifetime. Permanent settlements are probably still a long way off. Extraterrestrial vacations or holidays are further away still, but will eventually become reality. At least, that's what I think.

no normal person will ever holiday on mars unless they steal bill gates credit card. most normal poeple don't even like filling their cars petrol tank to the top. most normal people usual scrimp and save all year round for a 2 week binge in ibiza on a low cost package flight so don't be silly. sorry to seem pesimistic all of a sudden but NO.

Yes we will be able to travel to Mars one day, I believe it will happen in our life time, because in the last 50 years, we went from wooden wheel barrel to Apollo man on Moon mission. Mars is just maybe 3 big steps away. I believe NASA are working on a project to Mars, whether that mission will inculde human explorer, I do not know.

No time soon. For one thing, it takes too long to get there-- like seven months or more. And there are only special times that you can do it then -- or get back. If we can ever invent a thermonuclear reactor suitable for use on a spacecraft, the times could be improved to be manageable, even without the planets in special positions, but we do not now have even a clue as to how to do it.

Definately! I they are starting some sort of thing where planes will go into space. So it will happen, only a matter of time, and money. I hope I am still alive when they do give tours of the galaxy.

Yeah, it is all coming. The scientists are about to bring that dream to life. I bet. One day you will vacation on Mars or some where safe. And you will not return to Earth, where crime rules and taxes drain your wallet.
