Use aloe vera. Read the label. You want 100% aloe, no other ingredients. From a health food store is best.
I don't know why it has taken this long to clear up. It should be close to being back to normal. Unless you are re-exposing it to the sun. It won't heal if it keeps getting burned. Newly healed skin burns easier so always wear protective clothes or sunblock.
If repeated sun exposure isn't the case, you need to see a doctor. It could be something else is wrong with you.

Edit:
If you are not in pain, use a loofa or wash cloth to gently scub the area. Gentle exfoliation stimulates the skin and clean skin is healthiest. You may just need to rub off the damaged skin to show the healed skin underneath.
If you are still in pain see a doctor immediately. After a month this should be healed.

It can take months before it changes back to all white. I live in FL, so I would just get red on the white side to even it out! lol The red usually goes away in like a month, but when it's brown (tan), they have spray on tan lotions that you can o at home to even it out until you turn all white again!

Rub some aloe on it. Soothes the skin, takes away the redness.

it should take about 4-6 days until the skin starts to peel off. you should try rubbing some aloe on your arms so it won't hurt so much.

When I was with my roomate she always used to peel the dead skin off and put aloe vera cream on it. It was gone within a week.
