A good virus program should remove it but if you insist in deleting that file, here's how to do it.
Since it is a "protected" file and the Attributes are set at READ ONLY, you will need to remove its READ ONLY status.
This is done from the DOS prompt.
ATTRIB -r shell32.exe
You will need to be in the DIRectory where the file is located. After running the above command, type DEL shell32.exe and the file will be gone.
I still recommend removing the trojan with a good anti-virus program.

Try to make backups of anything important from your hard drive. Buy a USB flash drive and do backups. Address, bookmarks, game save, buddy lists, settings, reciepts, pictures, porn, favorites, passwords, Outlook addresses, and all other settings, and files, etc....
You need to go into Safe Mode. That is, press F8 when rebooting.
ALso, it will probably come back, so you need to do a search in the Registry.
Go to RUN and type in REGEDIT, click OK, then search for the exact file name, shell32.exe.
It will be listed several times. Delete those occurances too.
Get a copy of HighJackThis from http://www.merijn.org/ and run it.
Now reboot the PC. It should be fixed.

shell32.exe is NOT a windows program, that is shell32.DLL, shell32.exe IS a trojan. Try rebooting into safe mode as people have suggested.

I recommend you stay out of the Registry unless you are a highly experienced and knowledgeable user.
ewido is consider the best tojan detector and remover out available. It is free for 15 day trial. Download it here:
http://www.ewido.net/en/
Now go to this site and use the proper scan and removal procedure. Just use ewido instead of AdAware. Be sure to use one to the two registry repair programs she lists.

shell.exe is a Windows program. Try using an antivirus program. There is good free antivirus software at avast.com. All you need to do is give them an email address so they can send you the reqistration key. There is no spam, it is a good legitimate alternative to sepnding $60 for norton.

go to cnet.com and look for the virus name. When you locate it, there should be instructions on how to remove. Or depending on what virus protection program you have you can request the virus program to take care of it. If the program has this you can quarantine the virus and then remove it. Good Luck,.

You can try to do a system reboot on the computer, but it might not remove the virus. Also, you can try to buy an anti-virus software like McAfee or Norton Anti-Virus, and have it remove the virus. (Hopefully)
