If you really want to fight global warming (if you're so stupid to believe it in the first place) you should lobby and protest until all of the nations power comes from nuclear facilities. They are a virtually limitless supply of energy that is perfectly clean.

I don't know, but I would imagine you would be creating more pollution in the disposal of the dead batteries. All those chemicals in them, have to go somewhere............
