Because Coca-cola uses a franchise business model, ie it only actually produces the syrup and franchises out it's bottling( a possible technological advantage?), it is likely that coca-cola relies on the socioeconomic stability of the countries that it is operating in. So foreign policies may dictate what countries that coca-cola can franchise in.
