It made me gasp when I got mine pierced, and I squeezed my friend's hand really hard. Afterwards, though, I felt just fine. So on a scale of 1-10? I'd give it about a 6 or 7. It's a really sharp pain, but it's brief.
Also, there is no "certain side" for gay or straight people. I got mine done on my right eyebrow because that's the side I preferred.
Oh, and remember to clean the piercing often! I cannot stress this enough. Make sure you do exactly as your piercer tells you to; I didn't, and mine ended up getting infected to the point where I had to take it out.
Good luck, and have fun with your piercing! Take good care of it!

It won't hurt that bad. The clamp will probably hurt worse than the needle. Get a fairly heavy gague. thin ones are easy to rip out on accident on your pillow or on purpous in a fight. I'd go with a 14 at the smallest, 12 might be better. There isn't a particular side of the head that differentiates gay from strait anymore. a long time ago straight guys would only get their left ear pierced cuz the right one meant you were gay, but nobody really cares anymore.

I got mine pierced last yr. & it honestly did NOT hurt at all. All I felt was some pressure, & it was over with. Of course it was sore afterwards, & you have to be careful washing your face, & taking off your shirt, etc....but on a scale 1-10, I'd give it a 1 (For the actual piercing itself), now for the soreness & all afterwards, I'd say maybe a 4 (especially after you hit it, b/c you forgot about it being up there..haha). I don't believe it matters what side you get pierced, & I got mine pierced with a 16G, but sadly it rejected...If I get it pierced again, I might get it pierced with a 14G. I heard those don't reject as easily.

theres no certain side for anything...it hurts a little more than an ear piercing...it would prolly be a 6 on a scale from 1 -10. You should be at least 18.

#1st question- Everybodys gonna have a different pain toleration levels so this question probably won't do much help. Someone above me said "yes, horribally" but when i got mine done I had no clue he had even done it till afterwards.
Regardless, the process is quick. It the healing process that will be the most painful. I would have trouble sleeping on that side sometimes or accidentally comb it when doing my hair & i'm pretty sure most people did. Just keep it as clean as possible & eventually it won't bother you anymore. I've had mine for 6yrs & sometimes forget it's even there.
2nd question- I've never heard of such issue because the side you choose is personal prefrence.

properly i don't have an business, yet i do have a cartilage piercing the position between the holes for an business ought to be. i ought to assert it is about a 4 or 5 in the soreness scale... it always burns, even if it takes a lengthy time period to heal. Earlobe piercings, i ought to assert a million or 2, it somewhat would not damage. nostril, mine merely damage me the subsequent day. even if it develop into merely sore. perchance about a 6. navel, properly this one relies upon. I have both my proper and bottom, and the bottom damage waay better than the proper. the proper develop into probable about a 5 and the bottom about a 7 or 8. tragus, i'm no longer optimistic because i don't have one, yet i go this week :) i heard it would not damage, i develop into there at the same time as my chum were given hers and she did not recoil. yet do not forget that the soreness relies upon on your tolerance for soreness. I easily hate needles yet for some reason i love piercings, it is extraordinary, yet my tolerance for soreness is larger than it develop into. so it actually relies upon on the guy !

Get it done by a safe, clean professional. Its only a brief pain, as with all piercings.
i have 18 piercings in my ears, tongue, naval, and labret.
Keep it clean!
My sister had her eyebrow done. It looked good. Her body didn't accept it and pushed it out, she has a slight scar but shes thinking baout getting it done again
