I've been making clothes but my family only know about it. Jow can I spread the word?

OMG me too!! Well try like I guess going to the mall and talking to one of the ppl that work there and tell them that you are interested in being a fashion designer .... and you could always google it on www.google.com..Oh and you DO HAVE to go to school for it

try selling them on ebay.com because it is capable of reaching a bigger audience.
in the search area,type in DiY(Do it Yourself) and you'll see a list of clothes currently up for bid on ebay made by regular people from scratch.make sure that the clothes you make are serged and stitched by a sewing machine to make it long lasting,just like the ones you find at the store.i've bought DiY clothes from some ebay sellers and some parts of the stitching came loose but i didn't mind because some are still learning.although most customers expect the clothes to be sewn well.you'll need a paypal account.just be aware of the fees,rules of ebay and the reputation of the people you're selling the clothes to.usually you can read their feedback and know whether or not the customer is a complainer/picky,etc. otherwise, ebay is a great way to market your fashion designs and develop a fanbase,who might spread the word for you:) some fabric can be purchased by the bulk for cheaper on ebay.you can even order personalized clothing tags on ebay too,so your name will be recognized.
taking classes at an art/design school allows you to learn more in depth about fashion,fabric,etc but mainly helps you build a credible portfolio to show to companies that may be interested in selling your clothes at well known department stores/boutiques.

Try bringing some of your clothing to a local clothing store. Make sure you have a bunch of different sizes. The more people like it, the more they'll buy it. Try to put your name on the tag, and maybe your phone number and address. That way, people will know where to get more, and maybe you could have an at home business. Plus, people in your town will see that the person who made it was local, and many people like to support businesses and people.

All you have to do is make those designs and ask your parents to wear them and you can wear your designs and you can start y newspaper you can make someone a coustom made clothes or outfit for a certain amount of money or you can sell them what you already created...
you can make big time money with this..So just ask friendz and family to wear your clothing if they like them so people will notice it and you can make you a business card if the person like your family and friendz outfit and then they can give you a card...

u have it in the news paper then u have somebody (fashion designer ) well u have to find one thatll like ur clothes then u ask if u can be hired and then u get hired and make clothes

i guess u should study fashion and make a fashion line sell it and let impo people see them then make a couple of fashion shows then BAM!!! ur a designer
