There is a smell that I first recall smelling in the playground at my first elementary school, and I seemed to recollect I looked up at the ''chimney" or whatever, coming from the school cafeteria area, and seeing a small or usual amount of smoke coming from there. And now, and throughout my life, everytime I smell that smell, I'm immediately taken back between 45 and 50 years ago when I first smelled it, and it's a wonderful recollection. Thank you for asking your question and giving me the moment to "travel back in time" to a moment I've not had the occasion to visit lately since I haven't smelled that aroma. But the moment I read your question, that special moment came back to me as a great ol' friend out of the ancient past. God Bless you.

Hmmm, there's a lot of smell that remind of me of my childhood. But there is one very particular scent which always remind me of my free-wheeling-kid days, the smell of a field of grass after a rainshower. I could not describe fully the smell but its a medley of scents that reminds you of nature awakening and being refreshed by the intermingling smell of new earth, green grass and clean pure air. It's nature's symphony at its best!

My Grandmother's homestead had certainly one of those unique scent with the aid of fact they have been farmers and lived interior the comparable homestead for like 60 some years. She became continually cooking and baking and her homestead continually smelled yummie. I even have run for the time of that scent as quickly as considering my grandmother surpassed directly to the great beyond, and it further me to tears very almost without delay. The scent of baking bread continually jogs my memory of my mom who I lost to maximum cancers very almost 6 years in the past.

Usually right before it's going to rain, it has this smell. I can't describe it, but every time I smell it it brings back all these memories. Also, the smell of my mother's perfume, Vanilla Fields, brings back memories of me and her. She died 7 years ago when I was 16.

Boy did that bring back some good memories !
Evergreen trees. My grandparents had them all over their yard.
And a Magnolia tree that was right outside my parents bedroom. I used to love to lay on their bed with the window open at night.
Of course, that was when you could LEAVE your windows open at night !
Thanx for the memories !
Have a great day !
