You need to be a little more specific. You didn't say HOW the are allegedly violating federal law and I can't even tell if the federal law your speak of even applies to the local officers.

It is not okay to cross the border illegally. It is not okay for illegals to act and commit these acts of violence. Laws on the books , at Federal Level gives law enforcement the authority to arrest ILLEGALS, period, but ............the Federal Government ties the hands of the same people , the law says can and should enforce the law. It is NOT about racism, it is about Obama and the left being elected, votes.. After wards, same as after the last elections in 2006 when they took the majority in Congress and other seats, they go back to business as usual. I, myself live in a border State, and I guarantee, it is even worse than the mind can imagine. I hope all States following Arizona's law and do the same thing. Enough is Enough. A terrorist is a terrorist, treat them all the same. Sneaking across a border in some countries, is death if caught. Open carry , may be a good law in Arizona. It is a real shame that it is all about votes , not about protection of the American people.

The constitution gives the federal government absolute supremacy of law over the land. Yes, it is wrong if local law enforcement breaks a federal law, unless of course he is exempt from said law in order to perform his peace keeping duties.

If a local law goes against the constitution, the case has to go through all the appeals until it reaches the Supreme Court. Then they can decide if the constitution had been violated. It takes a LONG time.
