Start > Run > type dxdiag, press enter and look under the Display tab.
Or you can right click on the desktop and select Properties and go to Settings, Click Advanced and you should be able to find it there as well.
OR, you can go to My Computer, right click it and select Properties and go to the Hardware Tab then go to Device Manager and click the "+" sign next to Display Adapters, it will be listed there as well.

Go to Control Panel->System.
On Windows XP go to the Hardware Tab and click on the Device Manager button. On Windows 98 go to the Device Manager Tab.
Once at the device manager, look for Display Adapter and click on the plus(+) next to it. A new device will appear, this will be your video card.
If it says it is a generic display adapter, or doesn't have a specific name, you will have to open the PC and look at the actual card to see what kind of graphics card you have. Look for a model number or logo and search for that online.
If you don't have a seperate graphics card(the video comes off of the motherboard), look for the motherboard model number.
If you aren't comfortable opening up the PC, if your PC is a name brand(Dell, HP, ...) you can look for your PC model online and see if it has the graphics card listed, but some models may have had several options for what was available.
