I have that cd. That is a terrific song that I love as much as Bridge Over Troubled Water! I also enjoy playing it on my guitar. Great lyrics to this song. I am just a poor boy though my story's seldom told, I have squandered my resisitance on a pocket full of mumbles, such are promises, All lies and jest still a man hears what he wants to hear and disregards the rest...... I love that song too and great question! And no they don't make songs like that anymore!

Yep, absolutely one of my favorite songs of all times by ANY artist.
Must have been about 1972 or so...I had to rush out and buy the album (yes, that vinyl thing of the past) when I first heard it.
Since then I've listened to it 7,453 times.

I like the song, but I like Emmylou Harris' cover ("Roses in the Snow") better.
