I'm looking to create a border around a large mulch bed I have in my yard. It extends from the street, along my driveway, past my garage and into the backyard...very big bed with beautiful plantings.
Thought boulders would look natural and unique. Where do I look? I'll probably need between 50 and 75 of them I'd say off the top of my head.

Check for a local quarry. For that number and size of rock, it's probably your best bet. They will be heavy, you will need help to move and place them.

Other than that, a landscape service should be able to find a source and put them in place for you.

Ask a local farmer (or several local farmers) if they have any rocks of that size they would like removed from their fields, and if you can have them.

When they stop laughing hysterically, they will probably take you to an enormous rockpile and say "HELP YOURSELF!!!".

Remember to do something nice for the farmer (besides hauling away his rocks).

Try Hosking's Nursery in Watertown. Or I've got up to 15 in my yard which I can sell cheap, if you can pick them up.
