Insurance, mot then tax
If your car is off the road then how you get it to the mot centre without tax and be legal I dont know. You need an mot to get a tax disc. Prehaps the proper way to do it is have the car towed to the mot center and back again then get it taxed?
to save u some money on your Insurance get a temp cover note firstly then go get an mot thats the only way u can get ur road tax but to be on the safe n legal side contact dvla.gov.uk or go to your local dvla office check with www.yell.com for your local dvla center

Proof of appointment at mot station will allow you to get your car there. You can insure first or next but insurance will only be valid if everything else is in check - except the tax disc which needs both the mot and the insurance cover note.

You dont need an MOT to get insurance but you will need insurance to get your car to the garage for an MOT. I personally would get the car collected by the garage to get the MOT, no point getting insurance if your car wont pass its MOT. Once its passed then you can get the insurance which you will need to get the car taxed. Dont drive it without any of these cause if you get stopped by the police you will loose your car. Police now have the power to inpound your car and then crush it if you drive without tax, insurance and an MOT.

You need insurance to take your car for an MOT as you will need to drive it there and you need your MOT certificate to get your tax.

Insure 1st
Book MOT (you can drive to test centre without tax or MOT if your MOT is booked)
Tax.
You cant get Tax without both MOT & Insurance & you cant drive to MOT test centre without insurance so that has to come 1st.
Good luck & happy motoring

You will need insurance first... you should even have insurance if your vehicle is not driven...
I'm not sure what tax and mot are ...
If you are talking about inspection and license plates... you will need the inspection to get the plates... but they will only give you a temporary form to take to the license bureau... and... in all states that I can think of.... you are allowed to drive your vehicle to the license bureau and to get it inspected even without plates... but you will need insurance.
oh... and you cannot make any other stops along the way to the inspection and the license bureau.
