to tell you the truth the gorilla because the human not only can take care of himself but there are a lot of us around anyway, but the gorilla will be gone for ever so i think the gorilla should survive. however if its an important human such as a scientist or something i would say the human because they are just too important.humans are the most important species anyway since only we can stop a mass extinction of life to happen again. but a gorilla only cares about its own survival so a good human is more important an entire population of a specie.

If I am not related to the human, I will save the animal who evolved from a common ancestor of mine, so that the animal and I are related distantly.
P.S. I would save the animal, even if I could not prove positively that I was related to him. Unless it was a beautiful girl, and she was crazy about me. Then I would have to think about it for a few minutes.
P.S. If the human was a scientist or a pastor, I would save the one that had value to humanity, and let the other one go. I am sure you know which is which.

Depends on the human. There some humans who should be endangered (some bankers, some traffic wardens, some rude shop assistants).
