I got the DVD, and I wonder if it is defective. Is there supposed to be a weird blue light, like a solarized photo, on most of the last half hour or so of the film? Is that part of the film, or should I send my DVD back for a replacement?

I saw it in the theatre and do not know what you are referring too, send the DVD back or rent one and see the difference.

I didn't watch it in the theater. But I did see the movie on DVD and I don't recall, any solarized effect.
If you haven't seen this on any other DVDs, which might suggest a problem with the player, I'd send it back as defective.

the dvd i saw of it didnt so i wouldnt send it back!!

I don't think so, I have that movie and it's not on mine. Better take it back.
