If you want bigger muscle gains, research shows to do it at evening hours. Now I don't know what time you eat dinner so I guess you decide. The reason why it is better is because near the end of the day your testostorone levels are its lowest. By working out you stimulate your body to make more testostorone and build muscle. For some reason, in the morning your testostorone levels are its highest, so you will lift more in the morning but gain more in the evening

Man! I was going to say first thing in the morning and then take a shower to rinse off the sweat and then cold to close the pores, but I would work out before dinner if it were me. I would still go for the shower and then go for dinner and a walk to cool down before bed. Working out on a full stomach makes me sick. Working out on an empty stomach tends to make me eat less at the dinner table. Hell I'm fat and old what do I know? lol

I would definitely recommend before. Here is why. When you eat, your blood is busy extracting nutrients from your digestive tract and putting them into your blood where they will do you the most good. Now, if you eat and then start exercising, your blood will then be forced to go to your muscles where it also is needed. Something is gonna suffer. Do it BEFORE you eat.

Before eating is usually preferred. You can eat after exercise if you wind down, shower, or something to properly relax you so that you can digest the meal.
