i think 9/11 pointed out that some muslims are terrorists.
i think that people who deprive their children medical treatment on religious grounds are freaks.
asian people eat rice. I do not know if they are smelly. I don't think any movie director has made the point. At some point they are smelly. And then they take a shower and then they are clean again.
Like the rest of us.

The films themselves are racists but that doesn't mean that movie directors are racists. Sometimes movie directors don't write the scripts, they just direct the film.
I think Hollywood itself is racist but not particularly movie directors. Maybe you can change all that by being in the industry yourself and make better scripts for directors to work with.

It depends but most movies are made with the stereotypes. Especially American films as they are identifiable with the narrowmindness and stereotypes imaged in the general publics mind.
You wouldn't see an American enjoying a film where a middle eastern was the American Hero and saving a city form a crazed white anglo Psycho like Dennis Hopper was in Speed.

Well, the industry has always been that way, and it'll always has as long as film has existed, people are racist, in one way or another, we have some kind of hate to a race, or define a race in a certain way.

people have written books on how racist hollywood is. I wish I could remember a title or author for you! it is an important subject - movies may be silly (many of them) but they are seen by huge numbers of people, and young people absorb a lot of assumptions about reality through movies.
