I'm wondering how he became so rich when all his films were pants. I can't think of one. Plus he's in a cult isn't he?

Personally, I beg to differ with you, John Travolta has been in some of the best movies. Grease, Michael, Pulp Fiction, A love song for Bobby Long, Urban Cowboy, Swordfish, The General's Daughter, Basic, Face-Off , The Punisher (He was so mean and the quips of humor with his lines "Your Mother caught a Train!" Only John can deliver like that! Look who's Talking movies man do you have a heart or a funny bone in the body of yours and the list goes on and on and on..... Saturday Night Fever - "Al Pacino!"
I don't understand your comment about all is films were pants?
He is a Scientologist like Tom Cruise, Leah Remy and Kristi Alley and Issac Hayes.

Try Swordfish, Face/Off, Broken Arrow, and an early one for him was The Boy in the Plastic Bubble.
As for the 'cult' he's in it is a religious sect rather than a cult. Admittedly it has a few quirky beliefs but on the whole, 'Scientology' is one of the better ones.

Phenomenon was outstanding! And I loved Michael.
It just comes down to whether people agree on what's a "decent film" and what isn't. People pay at the box office, his paycheck shows that. That's how he gets rich, but you knew that.
And yes, he's in a cult. So sad.
