I have a 1988 300e class. My seat adjustment just stopped working. It will go forward and back for the leg room but it will not recline. Yesterday it worked fine. It will also go up and down. They are fine except it will not recline forward or back. Help?

Have you checked the owners manual? Assuming it moves up and down it must be an electric seat so the fuse is not blown. so check the wiring for a loose connection, if you are handy. If not, take it to a reliable garage to fix it for you. Yesterday is far away so bring back my yesterday!

That car has different motors and cables to move it so from the sounds of it the cable or motor that moves the seat back is bad.

the backrest motor must be faulty if you cannot feel any movement or clicking sound.
the switch is not loose and feel right?
