Whats eating my gas caps? Seriously?

Went to mow my lawn today and my plastic gas cap on the mower is all hacked-up! went to change it with my other mower and same thing, and on my chain saws and snowblowers!
Upon closer examination it looks like pencil wide tooth marks.

I meant, pencil "LEAD" wide tooth marks

You have an infestation of gas huffing vermin! Perhaps evil garden gnomes?
Spread flour on the floor and see what kink of animal tracks are left next day. I'm not quite sure what gnome tracks look like.

I think your breathing in too many gas fumes.
