I have been saying for a long time that we are already in WW3.
Bush' cowboy diplomacy made a mess of of the world and ruined our respected foreign affairs reputation.
WW3 started in Dec. 2001 when Bush withdrew us from the anti-ballistic missile treaty then invaded Iraq the next spring declaring they were on his axis of evil. This made Iran and N.Korea, the other countries on his axis of evil, need to acquire nuclear weapons. And why wouldn't they want this after watching Bush leave the ABT and declare them enemies? Afterall, Bush has either been flat wrong or lied to the UN while proceeding to flex his muscles around the globe.
Anyways, you are right... basically here is what is going to happen next:
1. Israel more than likely has set this Hezbollah thing up so that they can go ahead and invade Lebanon; thereby, destroying Hezbollah. They want to do this while we still have a large amount of forces close by in Iraq. On Charlie Rose last week, I saw an interview with Dan Gillerman, Israeli ambassador to the UN, where he stated the return of the 2 soldiers was not enough this time. Israel planned to 'demobilize' and 'disarm' Hezbollah completely. Those were his words.
2. Syria will get involved in that fight unless Israel backs off.
3. If Syria does get in it and if Israel is winning, Iran has vowed to get involved.
4. We will then get involved to help Israel because Iran is in it.
5. Russia and China have vowed to support Iran if we go to war with them.
6 At this point, we have all out fighting and I'm sure allies will come to help on both sides.

See the mentality you have to deal with when asking a question that could effect our very existance? I'm worried, but even worse, I'm scared. And every man, woman & child better be too.
What you say is true, of course. Our status as a super power is gone. We cannot spread democracy to others in the world, when our own democracy is falling apart.. Where elections can be bought (or stolen). Where politicians we vote into office, no longer work to uphold our rights or our constitution.
We went into Iraq, in the first place, against UN Council. We opened prisons (in secret), detaining citizens from other countries, we claim we were not torturing anyone, but yet the pictures and released detainees, tell a different story. We have broken the rules of the Geneva Convention, claiming they were not military personell and yet, most of them are still being detained, without legal council, because we claim they are a threat to the US. Can you think of any reason why any other country might be angry with us?
Now with the Middle East conflict in full swing, we not only back Isreal, by siding with them, we advocate the bombing of innocent civilians in Lebannon, the country who has suffered the most civilian fatalities. The UN has called for a cease fire and yet, Israel will not comply, therefore, the US does not comply. Israel claims they have the right to defend themselves, yet they are not the ones getting slaughtered.
Why should other nations, trust Bush? He has proven he is not concerned with world peace. He believes we put him into office so that he could spread democracy throughout the world. He has said that is what God wants him to do, & that is what he will do.
We are now probably one of the poorest nations in the world. We owe that to Bush & the GOP. We may never recover. We have lost the war on global terror, if there really was one. We still have not found the person(s) who were responsible for 9/11. And we will probably go down is history as the country most responsible for WW3. And to think we were "once" a super power. WOW!

Nice answers imbeciles...
regardless of what the world may feel at this moment about the USA, the reality of the situation is being hidden from the worlds view. We see small snippets, leaks, etc that continue to raise suspicions about the motivations and actions taken by THIS administration. To all those who have lost hope in the innate individuality, moral compass, and overall goodness of the common American, I submit that most of America distrusts, dislikes, and has little respect for our current leadership. Yes, all of them, from president down to city council level. Washington is just a forum for illicit deals between people we never elect, see, or have a chance to control. Recognise that the current budget based form of government (money) lends to a lack of respect and understanding for the constituencies our politicians represent (which creates lies, or lying), while we wage war on the world, steal from our people, sell off and or give up beautiful pieces of history and natural resources, erode personal freedoms and the constitution, imprison more people at home and worldwide than any other nationl, deny regular tax paying Americans the right to marry and be who they are, create terrorism at home and abroad rather than "defeat" it, and finally, undereducate, financially debt repress, and fear-control our population.
The good have always eventually regained control of the bad in America, even if it was just a ruse to allow the negative to slink back to the cave and create a more hollow existence for the rest of us. Self perpetuation has always been our asset, and even if America "died", would the 2.0 be worse or better...I choose to believe in better.
peace
now and forever

Only in the eyes of losers on the far left; and I seriously question the validity of the Austrailian generals comments - sounds like something snopes would take care of.
If the US is so bad there are plenty of open border nations you can "flee" too.

Would you like to live in the USA if we didn't have the freedom that was fought for. Can you see what is happening to other countries can happen to this one if we don't take a stand and stop those who want to say I am going to rule ( my way or you die ).
So I got to say that your question don't rate or merit the negative remarks you are looking for.
