It's called the Character Map. When you open it, just scroll down and copy the symbols to your clip-board, then paste them here. You must be looking under the Times New Roman font for Yahoo! Answers

Start Menu>>All Programs>>Accessories>>System Tools>>Character Map

Like what was suggested. Go to character map, BUT, I THINK you need to select the text type with which the text you are using is in. In other words, if the font you are using on your browser is Arial, then select Arial from the font list in "character map".

Otherwise you might run into troubles when you submit your post. You can check by going to your web browser properties...it should be in there somewhere.

you don't have to get special sign or anything, for example if u need to write a cation for Na in ms word, Type (Na+) normally, highlight the (+) sign and press Ctrl+Shift+('+=' button) "The + Sign Goes UP", if u need number of atoms like (Cl2) type it normally, highlight (2) and press Ctrl+('+=' button) "The 2 Goes DOWN"..

if that doesn't help, you can also click on (Insert>Symbol) in word and u'll find many symbols that u can insert easily..

remember: in Microsoft Word...
