The Brewers aren't going anywhere this season, so they dumped some payroll and perhaps solidified their future.

The Rangers get some immediate offensive help. However, the Rangers didn't need offensive help nearly as much as they need at least two good (not adequate) starting pitchers. Without the two good starting pitchers, I doubt that the Angels or A's are worried.

great for the rangers! now go get two starting pitchers and a middle relief pitcher and they might win the west!
