I am having a nutrition lesson for my third graders. We will prepare a somewhat healthy snack in the classroom (no ovens, but blenders OK). The kids should be able to help prepare it. It should also be something that they might like to eat.

Make some smoothies with bananas and strawberries with honey and yogart.
You could make PB&J sandwiches but use those tart cutters to make little pies out of them. Let them make trail mix with nuts, m&m's, Cheese nips, popcorn and dried fruit.
Before tests, my son's teacher had everyone eat grapes, cheese, little smokies and a peppermint.

Apple slices dipped in peanut butter, you might want to preslice the apples for them, (ofcourse) you could do a fruit and yogurt type thing where they're all given some yogurt, vanilla maybe, and can dip different fruits in it (grapes, strawberries, banana chunks, etc.) I just really like fruit! Not enough children get their daily amounts of fruit and veggies, yet it so easy to feed them! There's no cooking involved and it's something they can eat on the go!

How about trail mix? You can pick the ingredients, like marshallows, peanuts, goldfishies, whatever. You can have a recipe like 22 goldfish, 44 peanuts. Make them count them out. Good practice and easy clean up.

Smoothies are good to make, and healthy. And there is this snack called puppy chow that's made out of chex cereal, it's yummy, slightly sweet, and doesn't have to be cooked, and kids like to make it because it's fun to make and a little messy. Type puppy chow recipes into a search engine.

50-something here but in grade school we made (poor memory here remember) I think it was called Washington pie or GW pie. Anyway, name not important.
Take a single pre-baked layer of a layer cake of any flavor. Split in half (top and bottom), have them spread jam of any flavor or more than one, place top layer and sprinkle powdered sugar on top.
Simple as it gets, they can do it (except the layer slicing), and it tastes great and makes a lot for a low cost.
God bless teachers who use their own money in the classroom.

Sounds like a good idea, but just FYI, make sure to get in touch with all the parents in case they have special diets or anything besides allegies you may not have been made aware of.
