I think that communication is the thing you and your boyfriend need right now.
You need to sit down and have a nice, open, honest discussion about what you want (or expect) from this relationship. If you are not offering what he wants/needs or if he is not offering what you want/need then the relationship will fail unless compromise can solve the situation.
When you have your discussion, you should both agree that you will be respectful, calm, caring, open and honest when you talk. You need to speak your peace and allow your boyfriend to reply and speak his peace. Only then will you be able to determine if you are both compatible or not.
Some things are subject to compromise and other things are not. A sexual aspect to a relationship should never be compromised. If that is what he wants and you do not want to be sexually active with him, it is time to say goodbye unless he can continue the relationship accepting and understanding that there will be no sexual connection.
