Yes, you can "care" for someone too much in a special way, it is rare that you do. She might be a soul mate (you can have more than one).

There are many different kinds of love and not all are sexual. As long as you do not try to possess her or squash her individuality then it's perfectly normal to feel strongly for a friend. Enjoy friendship for all it's merits, for a good friend is sometimes hard to find and even harder to keep.

If you do then it is more then friendship. I am in the same situation. When I first met my best friend there was nothing sexual but I was and still am soooooo deeply in love with her. I would not if I could be with her sexually but at first it had nothing to do with that.....so yup I would say you love her or at least there is something more then friendship there.

Could be infatuation. Is this a new relationship? Or it could be that you may have found a person/personality that you inspires you. What a wonderful thing!
Obsessing over another female non-sexually does not make you a lesbian or bisexual. It means you are human. Embrace it.

ok......i have been there. my best friend means the world to me and in the beginning i didn't understand why it meant so much for her to call and to be near her. I didn't get why i wanted to be around her all the time and i almost always thought of her. one night i realized that i liked her like that and i told her. it all happened so fast but she told me that she liked me too and we have had this thing going on for about a year. we aren't together but it is not your normal friendship. we have even fallen in love with each other.....my point is that you need to be careful. i wouldn't have picked this for myself so don't let yourself fall into a hole that is impossible to get out of. i don't regret what happened but i wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy (p.s. I lost my virginity to her). good luck sweetie.

Yes, you can love somebody as a friend without any romantic feelings for them. You care about your friend on a very deep level. Good for you.

What do you get out of the relationship? Is it worth devoting yourself to if you just like the company? It probably won't last if you are just getting comfort, sounds to me as if she is taking the place of someone who should have been there but wasn't.

yeah i used to have a friend like this...at first i thought this is so normal..even so lucky to have someone like that with you..u letterly enjoy every moment with her every word she says...but u know wat happended after that ..i kinda lost control on my feelings i was in love with her...and she wasn't!..and all that love was wasten because she does't think of me the way i think of her...it's over now...i thought she loved me...maybe she was a liar who knew..things happend too fast ..i don't want the same thing to happen to u...so ask her if she really think of u the way u think of her...so that u won't regret..by the way when i was with her i thought our love won't end ...but she killed our love..so be aware...she might fool you someday!

I think that there is a limit to caring, else you end up like Will and Grace! Terrifying!
