I was but I fought back immediately and hard and I kept my private space private, never let anyone try to violate you as long as you have a breath in your body and do not for one second think that by surrendering the problems will go away, they will only get worse.

Let them know the first time you're off limits and you're willing to go to ANY legnths to protect yourself and chances are they'll back off knowing you're more than they bargained for and get lost. Remember, they're biggest weapon against you is fear and you need to let them know you don't fear them.

Sexual harassment was quite common in the 70's and before, and nothing could be done about it. In the 80's women's groups got together and helped pass laws regarding sexual harassment.
It does occur, and those who do it, should be reprimanded in some form. However, a lot of false reports are filed, about sexual harassment, that never happened. Those are the ones who hurt the real cause. False reports make real ones look bad. As if we all are making up stories Those who are found to have filed false reports should be sentenced to prisons. False reports are as bad as real harassment.

Once...I did do something, but nothing legal. There was this drunk came in while I was working one day kept telling me I had a nice bum, and how he wanted to have sex with me, and how he'd show me what sex with a real man was like....i was I think 18 at the time, I was scared, but i really didn't want to say anything.. Later that day I told my mom what had happened (she works at the same place as me) and she told the manager, who was mad that I didn't come tell him right away , anyway the guy it turns out was a friend of the Janitor's and ended up being banned from the building. I was told if I ever saw him in the building to call up security and he would be dealt with.

Yes. I was raped when I was a freshman in college. I was going on a date with a guy, and he said that he needed to stop by his apartment to get something. When he asked me to come in, I didn't think a thing about it. I never in a million years would have thought he'd back me up against the wall, and start reaching up my skirt.....I won't go into too much detail, for your sake and mine. I never reported him, although I did tell a friend of mine (a very tall, muscular friend of mine) who went to "talk" to the guy....after that, every time the guy saw me on campus, he would look worried, and would turn and walk away from my direction. Just what I wanted.

My old manager used to walk past me and accidentally bump into my breasts. He would always apologize, but it happened at least once a week. I finally started to walk away when I saw him coming around. When he did my annual review I rated really low, even though all my previous reviews were excellent. If was only after I received my review that I reported him. It was only a month after that he was terminated and his wife left him.
